Fairview is a village in Fulton County, Illinois, United States. The population was 522 at the 2010 census.
Fairview is located in northern Fulton County at 40°38′10″N 90°10′9″W / 40.63611°N 90.16917°W (40.636080, -90.169051).Illinois Route 97 runs along the eastern side of the village, leading north 28 miles (45 km) to Galesburg and south 20 miles (32 km) to Lewistown, the Fulton County seat. Canton, the largest city in Fulton County, is 10 miles (16 km) to the southeast.
According to the 2010 census, Fairview has a total area of 4.284 square miles (11.10 km2), of which 4.21 square miles (10.90 km2) (or 98.27%) is land and 0.074 square miles (0.19 km2) (or 1.73%) is water.
The town is governed by the Village Board led by Mayor Barry Dean Taylor, who is a lifelong resident.
As of the census of 2000, there were 493 people, 199 households, and 146 families residing in the village. The population density was 118.4 people per square mile (45.8/km²). There were 209 housing units at an average density of 50.2 per square mile (19.4/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.19% White, 0.41% Asian, and 0.41% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.20% of the population.
