Esperiopsis cimensis is a species of demosponges found in the Atlantic waters around Cape Verde, western Africa where it is found at depths of 165 metres (541 ft). The species was first discovered on 23 August 1986 by R.W.M. van Soest during an expedition. It was first found under the sea southeast of Ilhéu de Cima north of Brava Island. It was named after where it was first found in 2012 by van Soest, Beglinger and De Voogd. The species is also found throughout Ilhéu Secos (or do Rombo) and likely Brava. It is unknown if they are present in nearby Fogo.

The species inhabits deep waters between 100 and 200 metres and is found at hard sea-floors with yellow calcareous sand.
