Empodisma minus, commonly known as the spreading rope rush, is a herbaceous plant or grass in the family, Restionaceae. It is native to Australia and New Zealand.
E. minus is the host plant for the larvae of the endemic New Zealand species of moth Aponotoreas synclinalis.
