East Bethlehem Township is a township in Washington County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,354 at the 2010 census. The township contains the Frederickstown-Millsboro census-designated place.
Bethlehem Township, formed in 1781, was split into East and West Bethlehem Townships in 1790.
The Regester Log House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 5.3 square miles (14 km2), of which, 5.1 square miles (13 km2) of it is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2) of it (4.31%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 2,524 people, 1,048 households, and 704 families residing in the township. The population density was 494.0 people per square mile (190.7/km²). There were 1,210 housing units at an average density of 236.8/sq mi (91.4/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 96.12% White, 2.38% African American, 0.40% Native American, 0.04% Asian, 0.12% from other races, and 0.95% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.48% of the population.
There were 1,048 households out of which 28.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.5% were married couples living together, 11.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.8% were non-families. 29.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 18.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.41 and the average family size was 2.95.
