The Deer Park, Hisar (Hindi: हिरण उद्यान, हिसार), is near the town of Hisar, in the Hisar district of Haryana State, India. It has an area of 19 hectares (48 acres) including a 6-acre plot for producing fodder for the deer.
Deer Park Hisar is located next to Hisar Airport and Blue Bird Lake on Hisar-Dhansu Road at Hisar. The Deer Park is next to Shatavar Vatika Herbal Park, Hisar. Both are run by the Forests Department, Haryana of Government of Haryana.
The Deer Park was established by the Forests Department, Haryana of Government of Haryanain 1970-71 to advance conservation and to increase public awareness and understanding of the topic through education. It is the oldest among Zoos and deer parks in Haryana.
The deer to be found in the park include 20 Blackbuck, 16 Chital spotted deer and 6 sambar. Below are pictures of some of the species found at the deer park (pictures for representation only):
