Dave Bassett is an American songwriter and record producer. Bassett is known for writing songs for artists such as Fitz and the Tantrums, Walk Off The Earth, Shinedown, Pop Evil, Josh Groban, Idina Menzel, Daughtry, Saliva, Halestorm, Sevendust, 10 Years, Skillet, and most notably, for co-writing the 2015 song Fight Song for Rachel Platten.
He has also written songs for soundtracks and TV shows.
In 2013 Halestorm won a Grammy "Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance" with their song “Love Bites” co-wrritten by Bassett.
In 2016, Bassett was nominated for a Grammy for "Best Rock Song" for co-writing and producing Elle King's "Ex's & Oh's".
