DAZN (pronounced "Da Zone") is a live sports streaming platform founded in 2015 and owned by Perform Group. Its aim is to provide users with unlimited access to watch live and on-demand sports content for a monthly fee. The service launched in August 2016 and is currently available in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and Japan. DAZN is accessible on a wide range of connected devices, including Smart TV, laptops, tablets, smartphones and games consoles.
DAZN is a sports broadcaster founded by Perform Group on 8 July 2015, in London, United Kingdom. It is an over-the-top (OTT) service that specialises in broadcasting sport live and on-demand via Internet transmission, so users can watch it without needing a cable or satellite set-up. It first launched in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 10 August 2016, closely followed by Japan on 23 August 2016.
DAZN is available as a monthly subscription. It is currently priced at €9.99 in Germany and Austria, 12.90 CHF in Switzerland and 1,750 JPY in Japan.
In July 2017, DAZN announced that it would expand into Canada, having acquired exclusive rights to distribute the National Football League's out-of-market sports package NFL Game Pass in Canada.
DAZN offers more than 8,000 sport events a year, ranging from major to minor competitions including the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, NBA, NFL, MLB, Formula One and UFC.
