Crescent Township is a township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States and is part of the Pittsburgh Metro Area. The population was 2,640 at the 2010 census.

The township was created in 1855 and was given the name Crescent because it was formed from a portion of Moon Township. Crescent Township has been assigned the ZIP code 15046.

Crescent Township has two unincorporated villages:

Crescent is part of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Students living in Crescent Township attend the Moon Area School District.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 2.3 square miles (6.0 km2), of which 2.1 square miles (5.4 km2) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km2), or 10.78%, is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2,314 people, 886 households, and 658 families residing in the township. The population density was 1,115.8 people per square mile (431.6/km²). There were 920 housing units at an average density of 443.6/sq mi (171.6/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 97.23% White, 1.25% African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.91% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, and 0.26% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.78% of the population.
