Coop Italia abbreviation for Consumers' Cooperative, is the trademark of a system of Italian cooperatives that runs a chain of superettes, supermarkets and hypermarkets.

The trademark applies to the consumers' cooperatives affiliated to Coop Italia, which in turn is an affiliate of Legacoop, Italy's national federation of cooperatives and mutual aid societies.

Coop stores are very widespread especially in Central and Northern Italy and particularly in Tuscany (the Italian region with the highest number of Coop stores), followed by Emilia Romagna. However, Coop stores are growing in Southern and insular Italy too, especially in Calabria, Campania, Apulia, Basilicata, Sicily and Sardinia. As there are no Coop stores in the regions of Molise and Aosta Valley, Coop Italia does not have total territorial coverage, even if it is the biggest MMR in Italy.

The main purpose of consumers' cooperatives is to purchase and resell quality products at prices that are convenient for their members, and for consumers in general. Coop aims in particular at safeguarding purchasing power and food security and actively supports organic food products.

While the names and logos are similar, Coop Italia has no business relationship with neither Coop Switzerland nor with the Norwegian Coop Norge.

Its headquarters are located in Casalecchio di Reno, Province of Bologna.
