The first series of City Homicide, an Australian Police procedural drama television series, began on 28 August 2007 on the Seven Network. The season concluded on 19 November 2007 after 14 episodes.

The first series aired Mondays at 8:30pm in Australia and averaged 1.611 viewers. The season was released on DVD as a four disc set under the title of City Homicide: Series One on 2 September 2009.

The Homicide Squad investigate a seemingly straightforward suicide and uncover links between the deaths of children from five separate incidents to a mystery arsonist and murderer. Events take a terrifying turn when the detectives find themselves in the heart of an inferno. Meanwhile, a new face in the team battles to make her mark while another detective's actions put his future on the line.

When a wanted armed robber is found dead in an old woman's grave, Homicide bang heads with some unfriendly colleagues from the Armed Robbery squad. When the AR squad muscles in on the Homicide case, internal politics reaches boiling point. Meanwhile, tension tightens between colleagues, with Duncan more than apprehensive about working with Jennifer.

Matt pushes the boundaries when he fails to turn in a letter from a capture fugitive. Instead, he fulfils the fugitive's wish to pass the letter to his sick mother, and finds himself caught up in a murder case which should have been open-and-shut. With his job on the line, Matt continues his investigation contrary to orders. Meanwhile, Jennifer struggles to hide her emotions in light of a traumatic event and seeks advice from an unlikely source.

When Stanley's god-daughter is found murdered and other teenage girls have disappeared, City Homicide have a personal stake in catching the monster responsible and Stanley may have to cross the line to do it.

It's the innocent victim who was in the wrong place at the wrong time that motivates Homicide, as they investigate a sporting reunion that leaves the former University Eleven one man down. Meanwhile, Simon calls for back-up to deal with a persistent stalker.
