Christian E. Elder (born September 7, 1970 in New York, New York) is an American film director, poet, screenwriter, and a visual artist. The son of screenwriter and playwright Lonne Elder III and actress Judyann Elder, he is best known for his 2013 short film The Big Meet.

Elder began as an illustrator at Neal Adams' Continuity Studios in Burbank, California. While developing as a storyboard artist, he pursued writing and performing slam poetry. Elder's screenplay about a CIA agent posing as a priest in St. Louis, Missouri, qualified him as a quarterfinalist for the Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting in 2012. His debut as a filmmaker took place in 2013 at the LA Shorts Fest with the crime satire short film The Big Meet, starring Lane Carlson (Fear Factor) of the Carlson Twins. The film was the recipient of the Earth Award at the 2013 CineRockom International Film Festival.

In 2017, Elder Co-founded the independent publishing press Old Hat Press.
