Choceň (Czech pronunciation: [ˈxotsɛɲ]; German: Chotzen) is a town in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has c. 9,100 inhabitants.
First written document mentions this place back in 1227. In 1562 building of large Choceň Castle started.
In 1947 there were 6,789 inhabintants. It was a rail junction then.
The town lies on a main railway between Prague, Pardubice, Ústí nad Orlicí and Brno.
