Chloe Rose (born October 25, 1994) is a Canadian actress. She is known for playing Katie Matlin in the long-running television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She has also appeared in feature films, most notably Anita Doron's The Lesser Blessed (2012) and Bruce McDonald's Hellions (2015). Since 2014, Rose has starred in the popular web series Teenagers (2014–present).
Rose was born and raised in Toronto and lived in the same neighbourhood as award-winning Canadian film director Bruce McDonald, with whom she would later work with on Hellions (2015). She babysat his children as a teenager.
Rose attended high school at the Etobicoke School of the Arts alongside fellow Degrassi star Aislinn Paul.
Rose first attracted attention for her role as Katie Matlin in Degrassi: The Next Generation. She was cast in 2010, with no previous acting experience. She left the show in 2013, after three seasons. Following her departure, Rose went on to play a variety of guest roles in several hit TV series, including Rookie Blue (2012–14), Lost Girl (2013), Killjoys (2015) and Dark Matter (2015).
Rose has also made the transition into feature film work, starring in a string of indie films, most notably The Lesser Blessed, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2013, and the Bruce McDonald horror film Hellions, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015. During the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, where Rose's film Hellions was screening, Indiewire named her as one of the "9 Up-and-Coming Actors to Watch For."
