Castlevania is an upcoming Canadian/American animated series. It has been announced by the streaming service Netflix as part of its original programming. The show is being showrun by Adi Shankar, who had previously teased plans for an animated mini-series based on Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse in 2015.Fred Seibert and Kevin Kolde of Frederator Studios will also co-produce. Animation will be done by Powerhouse Animation Studios and directed by Sam Deats. The series will be written by Warren Ellis. Two seasons of this show have been planned, with the first season to release on July 7, 2017 and the second season sometime in 2018. The first season is anticipated to be four parts long at 30 minutes each.
