Carlisle College is a further education college based in Carlisle, Cumbria. It takes on students in the September and also the February of each year.
The OFSTED Report for the school was met with a review stating, "This is a really good college where learner achievement is high, which is down to the hard work and dedication of both students and staff".
There are courses supplied aimed at 14 to 19 Year Olds, Adult Learning, Apprenticeships and Training Solutions for Businesses. Various courses are available under the City and Guilds title.
Engineering has the highest BTEC level, with students taking part in the Level 3 course, having the opportunity, if successful, to continue their education on to university. The level 3 engineering course, which deals with pneumatics and hydraulics is taught by a former human–computer interaction manager, John Foster.
The mathematics department course tutors have 4 years of university experience and training, they consist of: Bill Hocking, the department of electronics teacher and Tony Fenton, a skilled teacher of magnetic dynamos and other electrics.
