Burgstall (German pronunciation: [ˈbʊrkʃtal]; Italian: Postal [poˈstal]) is a comune (municipality) in South Tyrol in northern Italy.
As of 30 November 2010, it had a population of 1,585 and an area of 6.7 square kilometres (2.6 sq mi).
Burgstall borders the following municipalities: Gargazon, Lana, Meran, Mölten, and Vöran.
The emblem shows an eurasian sparrowhawk, which is to fly up, on argent. It is the arms of the Knights of Burgstall, the emblem was granted in 1966.
According to the 2011 census, 76.61% of the population speak German, 22.78% Italian and 0.61% Ladin as first language.
