Brittany Morin (born December 6, 1985) is an American entrepreneur, author and founder and CEO of Brit + Co, an online DIY media/e-commerce company based in San Francisco. Morin is a regular DIY and lifestyle contributor to NBC’s TODAY show. She has also been a contributor for Rachael Ray, Steve Harvey, CNN, Yahoo and The Huffington Post. Her first book, Homemakers: A Domestic Handbook for Digital Generation, was published in March 2015.
Morin was born in San Antonio, Texas. She studied business and communications at the University of Texas at Austin.
After graduation, Morin moved to Silicon Valley. She worked at Apple on iTunes and later spent four years at Google, where she helped launch projects such as Google TV, Google Maps, Google Search, and iGoogle.
In 2011, at age 25, she left Google to start Brit + Co, a media and e-ecommerce platform for DIY aimed at women and girls. Brit + Co seeks to connect users "with makers, designers, chefs, and inventors" to build "a community of creativity." The platform has more than 10 million monthly users through its website and mobile apps.
Morin is married to Dave Morin, co-founder of the social network Path, and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
