"Breathe" is a song recorded by American recording artist Michelle Branch. It was released in August 2003 in the United States as the second single from her album, Hotel Paper (2003). The song became a moderate hit, peaking at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 in December 2003 and peaking moderately in the U.S component charts.
The song received a low peak position in the U.S., mostly likely due to limited printings of the single, additionally it was marketed and released by Warner Bros. Records only as a CD Maxi single with seven additional tracks and remixes alone, thus causing the single to be too expensive for customers to buy in retail stores. There are no printings available of just the main song itself.
Branch is playing with her band inside a house. Bit by bit, the house, as well as everything in it, begins to dissolve, revealing a sunny beach outside. Eventually, Branch tosses her guitar out to sea and she and her band finish playing at the beach.
