"Are You Happy Now?" is a song by the American singer Michelle Branch, released as the lead single from her 2003 album, Hotel Paper. "Are You Happy Now?" was more successful than "Breathe" on the Billboard Hot 100 (peaking at #16 on August 16, 2003, reaching the Top 20) and on the UK Singles Chart. The song was written by Michelle Branch and John Shanks.
The single contains a non-album single called "Wanting Out" and a live acoustic version of the song "Hotel Paper".
The single was nominated for a 2004 Grammy Award in the "Female Rock Performance" category, against the likes of Avril Lavigne with "Losing Grip" and Pink with "Trouble", losing out to the latter.
The song is included on the video game Karaoke Revolution.
Cassadee Pope covered the song on The Voice (U.S. season 3) during the 4th week of the live shows. Her version reached #3 on the iTunes charts for that week.
Despite not having an official single release, the B-side "Wanting Out" was released to digital media outlets in 2003 and managed to chart on the Billboard Hot Digital Tracks chart. However, due to the fact that digital downloads were not being tallied for the Billboard Hot 100 at the time, the song did not appear on the latter chart.
