Bhoomiyile Rajakkanmar is a Malayalam movie released meaning Kings on Earth in 1987 produced by Joy Thomas and directed by Thambi Kannanthanam and featuring Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Jagathy. The scion of Thekkumkoor royal family wanted to introduce his heir to democracy. For this sole purpose he bribes the Chief Minister. Once in power, Mahendra Varma tries to be independent and help his friend Jayan. Due to Consective box office hit streak of Mohanlal & released after 1987's Industry Hit Iruppattham Noottandu, this film also turned Superhits of the year & also popular for Mohanlal's antiheroism acting which widely praised by critics & audiences since at the time no malayalam actor distinct into portray hero with negative shades.
