Berhampur University is a public university located in Brahmapur, Odisha, India.
The present campus is known as Bhanja Vihar, named after one of the greatest poets of Odisha, Kabisamrat Upendra Bhanja. Spread over an area of about 250 acres (1.0 km2), the university is about twelve kilometres away from the city of Berhampur and about six kilometres from Gopalpur beach.
The university offers postgraduate courses in three departments, science, humanities and business studies. These include regular programmes, self-financing programmes and diploma courses. The university also offers 28 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in distance education mode, through the university's HariHar Mardaraj Distance Education Centre.
Berhampur University was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with an "A" grade.
