Benjamin Castaldi (born 28 March 1970) is a French television personality of Italian as well as Polish-Jewish descent through his maternal grandmother (the actress Simone Signoret) and the former host of Secret Story, the spinoff of Loft Story which are the French adaptations of Big Brother. He currently hosts Nouvelle Star, the French adaptation of Pop idol.
Benjamin Castaldi was born in Boulogne-Billancourt, the son of the actor Jean-Pierre Castaldi and the actress Catherine Allegret. His maternal grandparents were celebrated French actress Simone Signoret and French film director Yves Allégret.
Castaldi became famous as the host of Loft Story and Secret Story.
Castaldi has been married three times. His first marriage was in 1997 to a woman named Valérie, with whom he has two children, Julien (b. 1996) and Simon (b. 2000). The couple was divorced in 2001. On 21 September 2002, Castaldi married television and radio presenter Flavie Flament, with whom he has a son, Enzo Castaldi (8 February 2004); the couple divorced in 2008. He married thirdly, in 2011, Vanessa Broussouloux, but they separated in May 2016. He now lives with Aurore Aleman.
