Bekovsky District (Russian: Бе́ковский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Penza Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,016 square kilometers (392 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Bekovo. Population: 17,531 (2010 Census);18,853 (2002 Census);21,474 (1989 Census). The population of Bekovo accounts for 39.6% of the district's total population.
