Baurzhan Alimovich Mukhamedzhanov (kaz. Бауыржан Әлімұлы Мұхаметжанов; November 26, 1960, Merke village, Merkenskiy district, Dzhambul region) – Kazakh politician, Doctor of Law. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Lithuania, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Latvia concurrently.

Mukhamedzhanov was born on November 26, 1960.

In 1983 he graduated from Kazakh State University named after S.M. Kirov with specialization of lawyer.

Mukhamedzhanov started his labor activity in 1983 as a research assistant, teacher of the State and Law Theory and History Division of the Law Department of the Kazakh State University.

In 1990 he defended his candidate thesis on the theme "Ecological Function of the Soviet State".

From 1990 to 1994 – Senior Consultant, Head of the Sector, Deputy Head of the Department, Head of the Secretariat of the Chairman of the Supreme Soviet, Head of the Legislation and Legal Due Diligence Department of the Supreme Soviet of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From February to April 1994 Mukhamedzhanov took the position of Deputy Head, then Head of the Legislative Initiatives Department of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From February 1994 to December 1996 – Head of the Legislation and Legal Due Diligence Department of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From December 1996 to October 1997 – Head of the Department for Legislation, Judicial and Legal System of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 1996 to 2001 – Secretary of the Supreme Court Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 1997 to 2000 – Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From September 2000 to January 2002 – Head of the State and Legal Department – Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
