"Batuque" (Portuguese for "Row") is a song recorded by the Brazilian singer Daniela Mercury. The song was released in 1992 as the third single from the album O Canto da Cidade, Mercury's second studio album.
The song was written by Rey Zulu and Genivaldo Evangelista, both songwriters of the Olodum. Following the success of "O Canto da Cidade", "Batuque" became the third consecutive single of the album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Brazil.
The music video for the song shows Mercury on the trio elétrico during her parade on the carnival of Salvador.
