Batetsky District (Russian: Батецкий район) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Novgorod Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast and borders with Luzhsky District of Leningrad Oblast in the northwest, Novgorodsky District in the east, and with Shimsky District in the south. The area of the district is 1,600 square kilometers (620 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a settlement) of Batetsky. District's population: 6,335 (2010 Census); 6,996 (2002 Census);7,622 (1989 Census). The population of the administrative center accounts for 35.6% of the district's total population.

The main river flowing through the district is the Luga, and much of the east, center, and west of the district lies in its basin. The southwest of the district is in the basin of the Shelon River, whereas the southeast is in the basin of the Verenda, a tributary of Lake Ilmen, and of the left tributaries of the Volkhov River. The landscape of the district is flat and swampy.
