Bangaram (English: Gold) is an Indian Telugu-language film which released on 3 May 2006 and was directed by Tamil director Dharani. This film has Pawan Kalyan in the lead role as the titular character and Meera Chopra, Raja Abel, Reema Sen, Ashutosh Rana, and Mukesh Rishi playing the supporting roles. This was a hit movie

Bangaram (Pawan Kalyan) is a reporter at a news channel. He dreams of getting into an international news channel of BBC. To fulfill his dream, he needs Peddi's (Mukesh Rishi) signature, but gets entangled with his daughters Sandhya (Meera Chopra) and Vindhya (Sanusha). Later, Bhooma Reddy (Ashutosh Rana) wins over Peddi's heart and is able to convince him to marry Sandhya to him, but Sandhya has already got her own love story with Vinay (Raja Abel).

Bangaram, feeling guilty about foiling Sandhya's escape plan and the mean looks from Vindhya, decides to help her by taking her to the city. However, the villains are not too far behind. Later, Vinay also loses contact with them because of the confusion caused by a bomb blast, then Bangaram is able to find Vinay, with the help of a driver (Raghu Babu) and his company. Bhooma kidnaps Vindhya (who just turned 18) and blackmails Bangaram that he will marry her if Sandhya is not returned. Bangaram goes to Bhooma, kills him, and saves Vindhya, which forms the climax.

In the end, it is revealed that Bangaram finds his own love (Trisha Krishnan) during a train journey.

The music for this film has been composed by Vidyasagar. Audio of the film was launched on March 16, 2006 at a silent function arranged at Sunethra School for Blind at Pedda Amberpet in the outskirts of Hyderabad on the evening of 16 March. Tamil hero Vijay attended this function as guest.
