The Bali cattle (Bos javanicus domesticus) are a domesticated form of the banteng. Bali cattle were an important source of meat and are used for plowing.
The Bali cattle were introduced to East Timor, Java and Australia including the Northern Territory as livestock but they escaped from captivity and started to increase in large numbers and damaging crops.
