Apastovsky District (Russian: Апа́стовский райо́н; Tatar: Cyrillic Апас районы, Latin Apas rayonı) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the west of the republic. The area of the district is 1,047.5 square kilometers (404.4 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Apastovo. Population: 21,627 (2010 Census); 23,105 (2002 Census);39,132 (1989 Census). The population of Apastovo accounts for 23.8% of the district's total population.
