Anversa degli Abruzzi is a comune and town in the province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of southern Italy.
In the surrounding areas between the Cenozoic and Mesozoic there was a carbonate sedimentation (the rocks near contain various carbonates, mainly including calcium carbonate in the form of compact limestone).
In the twentieth century the population undergoes a significant population decline (especially for places that offer better job opportunities, including Sulmona). The population rose from 1,934 inhabitants in 1901, to the current just over 400 inhabitants.
The main street and the Aragonese palace of the Norman castle Di Sangro In 1997 in Antwerp is established the Literary Park Gabriele D'Annunzio (Remember that D'Annunzio has set in Anversa degli Abruzzi one of his masterpieces: "The light under a bushel" ("La fiaccola sotto il moggio") of which the torch, according to a popular legend is the ruin the Norman castle, this castle belonged to the Di Sangro family, the visitor, seems to have the shape of a flame).
