Anant Kumar Hegde (born 20 May 1968) is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) political party. He was born in Sirsi, Kanara. He was elected to the 11th Lok Sabha in 1996 from Kanara constituency (renamed Uttara Kannada in 2008) in Karnataka and re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 1998, 2004, 2009 and then again recently in 2014 from the same constituency.

On 3 January 2017, Hegde was caught on camera assaulting three doctors of a Sisri hospital. The incident happened when he learned that his mother, who had fallen earlier in the day and suffered a fracture, was made to wait for hours for her treatment while the staff were performing an operation on another patient. All three doctors were injured in the assault. Hegde had already been in trouble with the police two days earlier after he linked Islam with terrorism, which triggered protests from the Muslim community.
