Anamika is an Indian soap opera that aired on Sony Entertainment Television India and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. It premiered on 26 November 2012 and went off-air on 13 September 2013. It is Vikas Seth's debut show as a producer on Sony Television and is based on a love story with a supernatural touch. It was also aired in Pakistan on Express Entertainment. It was dubbed in tamil and telecasted in Puthuyugam Channel with the same title.
Jeet Saluja (Mudit Nayar) starts encountering a mysterious woman, always surrounded with fog and strange incidents begin to happen with him. Once his car breaks down and he gets a lift from this mysterious woman, whose face is hidden in the dark. He tries to talk to her but she remains mum. Odd occurrences begin to happen parallel to his meetings with her. Her identity is later revealed as Anamika (Simran Kaur) and she is an extremely beautiful lady who lives alone in a large bungalow, in the forests. Ever since Jeet met Anamika, she makes the all the people who wrong him encounter bad circumstances.
In the show, she loves Jeet and he is strangely attracted to her. He starts falling for Anamika. But when Jeet gets to know that a negative energy is trying to win him over and he stops meeting Anamika. However, after a lot of confusion and conflicts realises his true love for Rano (Annie Gill), who is Jeet's best friend since childhood and has been in love with him for a long time. Rano and Jeet finally agree to marry. Soon, it is revealed that Anamika is a witch.
Anamika takes Jeet to her house and ties him. Jeet sees many men hanging in the room. They are the different men Anamika had married before killing them to gain power and she also has another hidden secret.
A heartbroken Anamika proceeds to seduce Jeet and then after hypnotising him, marries him on a lunar eclipse and takes him to her home. Rano tries to save Jeet from Anamika, but does not succeed. Jeet finally gets to know Anamika's truth and manages to escape. He reaches his house but Anamika teleports him back to her house again. After a lot of struggle Jeet is finally reunited with his family. On the other hand, Anamika commits suicide.
Finally, after great difficulties Jeet and Rano get married. But strange incidents once again begin to happen as Anamika’s spirit returns and begins to haunt Rano and others. In the process to permanently remove Anamika's existence from the earth Rano herself dies, but her spirit has still not attained salvation and there is only one girl, Chhavi Gupta, who can see Rano’s spirit.
