Algerians in France are people of Algerian descent living in France. People of Algerian origin account for a large sector of the total population in France. In spite of France's colonial rule in Algeria from 1830 to 1962, many Algerians chose to immigrate to France from the 1960s to the present due to political turmoil.
The 2011 Census recorded 465,849 Algerian-born people.
