Aleksandr Vartanyan (born 20 July 2000 in Moscow) is a Russian racing driver. He is currently linked with SMP Racing and is coached by Kevin Korjus.
Born in Moscow, Vartanyan began karting in 2007, at the age of five. He competed in championships all across Europe, claiming titles in KF and KF3.
In 2015, Vartanyan made his single-seater debut in the fifth and sixth rounds of the SMP F4 Championship. He finished fifteenth overall with a highest finish of fourth.
In 2016, Vartanyan graduated to single-seaters full-time, competing in two championships. The SMP F4 Championship, where he claimed one victory and third place in a season dominated by Richard Verschoor and Jarno Opmeer, and Spanish F4 where he finished as vice-champion to Verschoor. He also partook in one round of the Italian F4 Championship with Cram Motorsport.
Vartanyan competed in seven races of the 2016 Formula Renault 2.0 championships (as a guest driver in Eurocup) with Fortec Motorsports. In January 2017, Vartanyan switched to the series full-time with JD Motorsport.
