Akhtubinsky District (Russian: Ахту́бинский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the eleven in Astrakhan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 7,810 square kilometers (3,020 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Akhtubinsk Population (excluding the administrative center): 29,326 (2010 Census); 31,963 (2002 Census);37,043 (1989 Census).
