The 2017 Russian Grand Prix (Russian: Формула-1 Гран-при России 2017), formally known as the 2017 Formula 1 VTB Russian Grand Prix, is a Formula One motor race that is scheduled to take place on 30 April 2017 as the fourth round of the 2017 season. The race, which is planned to be contested over fifty-three laps, is due to be held at the Sochi Autodrom, marking the fourth running of the Russian Grand Prix as a round of the Formula One World Championship.
The winner of the previous Russian Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg, will not defend his race win as he retired after the 2016 season. Going into the race, Sebastian Vettel leads Lewis Hamilton in the World Drivers' Championship by seven points, with Valtteri Bottas third. In the World Constructors' Championship Ferrari leads ahead of Mercedes, while Red Bull Racing is third.
