The 2017–18 Portland State Vikings men's basketball team represents Portland State University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Vikings, led by first-year head coach Barret Peery, will play their home games at Pamplin Sports Center in Portland, Oregon, as members of the Big Sky Conference.

The Vikings finished the 2016–17 season 15–16, 7–11 in Big Sky play to finish in a tie for eighth place. As the No. 8 seed in the Big Sky Tournament, they defeated Northern Arizona in the first round, then lost to North Dakota in the quarterfinals.
