2016–17 Formula E season

The 2016–17 FIA Formula E season is the third and current season of the FIA Formula E championship beginning on 9 October 2016 in Hong Kong.Sébastien Buemi is the defending drivers' champion and Renault e.dams is the defending teams' champion.

^2 - Sébastien Buemi is set to miss the New York rounds of the championship, due to the clash with the 2017 6 Hours of Nürburgring, in which he is competing for Toyota. His replacement for these rounds is not yet known.

FIA confirmed the season 3 calendar in July 2016. The series will expand to twelve rounds at 9 venues. New rounds in Hong Kong and Marrakesh and double-header rounds in New York City and Montreal are added while Moscow and Punta del Este were dropped. The Monaco ePrix will return to the calendar after a one-year absence. The Berlin ePrix will return to Tempelhof Airport for a double-header round.
