The 2014 Dalian Aerbin F.C. season is the 5th season in club history, and the third season in the Chinese Super League.
Aerbin signed former football player Ma Lin as their manager. He was replaced by reserve team manager Yasuharu Kurata in May 2014, due to the poor performance of the team, however it was reported to be related to the financial difficulties of the team.
After the failure attempt to purchase Dalian Shide F.C. last season, Dalian Aerbin faced serious financial problems. It's been reported that the team failed to pay up salaries and bonuses under the fact that they have sold valuable players trying to pay up the debt, and being investigated by FIFA for violating contracts of foreign players. The team ended up 15th by the end of the season, relegated to China League One.
