The 1947 Cal Poly Mustangs football team represented California Polytechnic State University during the 1947 College Division football season. Cal Poly competed in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA).

The team was led by second-year head coach Howie O'Daniels and played home games at Mustang Stadium in San Luis Obispo, California. They finished the season with a record of one win and nine losses (1–9, 0–5 CCAA), ending with an eight-game losing streek. Overall, the Mustangs were outscored by an average score of 33–10, scoring only 97 points while giving up 332.

No Cal Poly Mustangs were selected in the 1948 NFL Draft.
