The 1945 Cal Poly Mustangs football team represented California Polytechnic School during the 1945 college football season. This was their last year as an independent. They joined the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) in 1946.
The team was led by first-year head coach Ronnie Henderson (in his only year as head coach) and played home games at Mustang Stadium in San Luis Obispo, California. They finished the season with a record of one win, five losses and one tie (1–5–1). Overall, the Mustangs outscored their opponents 19–180 for the season, including four consecutive shutout losses.
