The 14th Indiana Infantry Regiment, otherwise known as the Gallant Fourteenth, was an infantry regiment of the Union Army during the American Civil War. A part of the celebrated Gibraltar Brigade of the Army of the Potomac, the 14th helped secure Cemetery Hill during the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863.
The 14th Indiana suffered 11 Officers and 139 enlisted men killed in battle or died from wounds, 1 officer and 72 enlisted men dead from disease for a total of 222 fatalities.
