Gifford is a village in Champaign County, Illinois, United States. The population was 975 at the 2010 census.

Gifford was named for B. F. Gifford.

Gifford was heavily damaged by a tornado on November 17, 2013. The tornado struck shortly before 1:00 PM, destroying more than 20 homes and damaged 200 others.

According to the 2010 census, Gifford has a total area of 0.45 square miles (1.17 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2000, there were 815 people, 301 households, and 222 families residing in the village. The population density was 1,288.2 people per square mile (499.5/km²). There were 316 housing units at an average density of 499.5 per square mile (193.7/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.79% White, 0.98% African American, 0.12% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.25% from other races, and 0.37% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.37% of the population.

There were 301 households out of which 33.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.5% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.2% were non-families. 22.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.45 and the average family size was 2.85.

In the village, the population was spread out with 22.5% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 27.1% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 22.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 85.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.8 males.
