Zhang Yishan (born 5 May 1992) is a prominent Chinese child star and actor.
Zhang is noted for his roles as Liu Xing in the family sitcom Home with Kids, and the protagonist in the crime thriller Yu Zui.
Zhang was born and raised in Dongcheng District, Beijing. When he was 5, his father sent him to Shichahai Martial Arts School to study Kung Fu.
Zhang entered Beijing Film Academy in 2011, majoring in acting.
Zhang began his career by appearing in small role in Little Soldier Zhang Ga at the age of 9. Under the recommendation of his co-star Li Yingqi, Zhang went to audition for a role in Home with Kids, and successfully earned the role of Liu Xing. The same year, he starred in the metropolitan romance drama Who Pays for Love as the male lead's overlord son.
In 2004, Zhang starred in the sitcom television series Home with Kids, alongside Yang Zi. The series was one of the most watched ones in mainland China in that year and Zhang earned critical acclaim. Zhang went on to reprise his role as Liu Xing in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th season of the sitcom.
In 2006, Zhang filmed his first historical costume drama Chuan Zheng Feng Yun. The following year, he filmed the comedy series In the Wildest Fantasy and Born After 1980, where he played a 17 year old orphan who reluctantly gets along with his father's second wife after his death.
In 2008, Zhang filmed his first movie, Slam, portraying a basketball player. In 2009, he co-starred with Jackie Chan in the action-comedy film Looking for Jackie, as a young boy who who sets on a journey to meet his idol due to his love for martial arts. The same year, he reunited with his Home with Kids co-stars in the television drama Don't Want to Grow Up.
In 2010, Zhang had a supporting role in Bruce Lee, My Brother, a Hong Kong biographical martial arts drama film starring Aarif Rahman as the titular Bruce Lee.
