Yo Amo a Juan Querendón (I Love Irresistible Juan) is a Mexican telenovela that aired on Univision at 7pm/6c for one year beginning in February 2007. The plot surrounded the story of Juan Dominguez (played by Eduardo Santamarina) and his interactions with the Cachon Family. The program was a remake of Pedro El Escamoso, a Colombian telenovela [1].

Eduardo Santamarina and Mayrin Villanueva star as the main protagonists. While Alexis Ayala, Arleth Terán, Dacia Arcaráz and Renée Varsi star as the main antagonists.

Juan Dominguez, while walking the streets of Mexico City, comes across an attractive older woman, Nidia Cachon (portrayed by Sylvia Pasquel). After flirting with her, they proceed to go back to her house, where she attempts to seduce him. He starts to lose interest when her two daughters, Yadira (played by Dacia Arcaraz) and Marely (played by Florencia de Saracho) comes into the house. He instantly falls in love with Marely, quickly losing complete interest in Nidia. Not long after that, Nidia's husband returns home.

Nidia approaches her husband and gives him a hug and a kiss, making an excuse as to why Juan is at the house. Her husband quickly dismisses her and calls Juan into his office. All the while, a voice-over of Juan's thoughts is playing, which becomes a running schtick throughout the show.

In his office, the husband quickly explains how his life is no longer worth living. He produces a gun and leaves his family in the care of Juan. He then shoots himself in the head.
