In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy roleplaying game, the yeti is a monstrous humanoid.
The yeti first appeared in The Strategic Review #3 (August 1975).
The yeti appeared in first edition in the original Monster Manual (1977). The yeti was further detailed in Dragon #127 (November 1987).
The yeti appeared in second edition in the Monstrous Compendium Volume One (1989), and reprinted in the Monstrous Manual (1993). The yeti appeared as a player character race in Dragon #265 (November 1999).
The yeti appeared in third edition in Dungeon #84 (November 2001). The yeti also appeared in Oriental Adventures (2001), and Frostburn: Mastering the Perils of Ice and Snow (2004), which also included the abominable yeti.
The yeti appeared in the fourth edition in Monster Manual 3 (2010).
