Yadhaykenu

The Yadhaykenu are an Australian aboriginal tribe of northern Queensland. Their traditional lands are around Cairns, Port Douglas, and Mossman.

Traditionally they spoke the Uradhi language. In 2008 the tribe made an application for Native Title, which was successful in 2014. In 2017 the community signed a development deal with property developers.

It may have been Yadhaykenu warriors who killed Edmund Kennedy on his expedition of discovery north.
