The 8th District of the Wisconsin Senate is located in Southern Wisconsin, and is composed of parts of Milwaukee County, Ozaukee County, and Washington County.
Alberta Darling is the senator serving the 8th district. She was first elected in 1992, and has been re-elected every four years since.

The district is also located within Wisconsin's 5th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Jim Sensenbrenner,Wisconsin's 6th congressional district, which is represented by U.S. Representative Tom Petri, and Wisconsin's 4th congressional district which is represented by U.S. Representative Gwen Moore.
Note: the boundaries of districts have changed repeatedly over history. Previous politicians of a specific numbered district have represented a completely different geographic area, due to redistricting.
