Willkawayin (Quechua willka grandchild / great-grandson / lineage / minor god in the Inca culture, an image of the Willkanuta valley worshipped as God / holy, sacred, divine, willka or wilka Anadenanthera colubrina (a tree),Ancash Quechua wayi house,-n a suffix, hispanicized and mixed spellings Huilcahuain, Huilcahuaín, Huillcahuain, Wilkawain, Willcahuaín, Willcawain, Willkawain) is an archaeological site in Peru. It is located in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Independencia District, in the village of Paria. It is situated at a height of about 3,400 m (11,200 ft).
Willkawayin is regarded as one of the most important administrative centers of the Wari culture.
Near Willkawayin more remains of the Wari culture can be found in a site called Ichik Willkawayin (Quechua ichik small, hispanicized Ichic Willcahuaín). Both sites belong to the National Cultural Heritage (Patrimonio Cultural) of Peru.
