William Crean (born 16 December 1951) is a Roman Catholic bishop in Ireland. He has been the Bishop of Cloyne since 2013.
William Crean was born in Tralee, the son of Patrick and Margaret Crean (née O’Donnell).
He studied theology and philosophy at Saint Patrick’s College in Maynooth and later received the Licentiate in Sacred Theology of the Pontifical Gregorian University.
He was ordained as a priest in 1976 and incardinated into the clergy of the Diocese of Kerry. He had been parish priest in Castlegregory and curate in the parishes of Glenbeigh and Killorglin and later parish priest in Cahersiveen. He was consecrated bishop on 27 January 2013.
